Quatuor Akilone live for free at the Petit Palais in Paris

Published by · Published on January 16th, 2018 at 10:34 a.m.
Currently housing the wonderful “The Art of Pastel, from Degas to Redon” exhibition, the Petit Palais offers a free concert by the four female musicians from Quatuor Akilone. Meet this Sunday January 21, 2018 at 4 p.m.

They are called Emeline Concé, Elise De-Bendelac, Louise Desjardins and Lucie Mercat. The first two plays the violin, the third one plays the viola and last but not least, the fourth plays the cello.

Four young women with a fresh look, here’s what could attract new amateurs in the too-stiff world of classic music! Especially as their next concert is free of charge and needs no prior booking.

It’s the Petit Palais that welcomes them within its auditorium for a concert around Ravel’s and Debussy’s string quartet, two musicians who live between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, the first practicing an “impressionist” music, the second escaping every categorization.

This Sunday January 21, at tea time, come along and please your hears with this lovely concert, just a few minutes after pleasing your eyes with the current exhibition!
