Four years after his latest show at the Olympia, Jeff Beck returns to Paris this summer for an exclusive night. Enjoy the iconic guitarist on Monday July 25, 2022, in this show venue again. To perfect the night, Johnny Depp will be joining the legendary guitar player on the Olympia stage! The biggest fans already know it, but the American actor is to soon release “18”, a cover album featuring Jeff Beck.
Considered as one of the three greatest guitarists alongside Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page to have played in iconic band The Yardbirds, Jeff Beck will make the most of it to perform live a few of their successful hits, including some from his latest album called “Loud Hailer”.
Like many artists of his time, Jeff Beck went from band to band. But 1965 marks a milestone. He succeeds to legendary Eric Claptron and joins The Yarbirds. With the arrival of the British guitarist, the band soon met their greatest successes!
In 1967, he launches his own band, the Jeff Beck Group including Rod Stewart (voice), Ron Wood (bass) and Mick Waller (drums). Despite several hits, the band splits up in 1972. Jeff Beck yet keeps his chin up and decides to go solo in 1975. From this moment on, Jeff Beck experiments a new music genre using distortion, feedback and fuzz box. The musician even influenced several more artists like Jimi Hendrix.
All along his career, he won four Grammy Awards. In 2009, Jeff Beck also made it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
This July 25, he will be back in Paris for an exceptional live show at the Olympia… A piece of advice: be there! All the more so as Jeff Beck will not be alone since he has decided to have a very special guests: Johnny Depp!
