To promote the release of their 10th album, “Hardwired… to Self-Destruct” (out since November 18, 2016), the Californian quartet forming Metallica started, in September 2017, a huge 8-month European tour, travelling cities such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Cologne, London, Glasgow, Antwerp, Lisbon, Madrid, Prague, Budapest, Geneva, Oslo, Stockholm…
In France, Metallica came for 3 dates: two at Paris AccorHotels Arena on September 8 and 10, 2017 and one last concert at Lyon Halle Tony Garnier on September 12.
After this long tour on the Old Continent (39 concerts in 29 cities in front of 650,000 fans), that ended on May 11 in Helsinki, Finland, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo announce they are already coming back to Europe in 2019. This time, no indoor concerts but a stadium tour that will start this upcoming May and end in August 2019.
For now, no date has been communicated yet, you will have to wait until September 2018 to know the calendar of Metallica new European tour, but we obviously cross our fingers to (re)discover Metallica in France and we deeply hope the Stade de France will be part of their tour.
Let’s recall that Metallica latest concert at the Stade de France was in 2012.
Stay tuned to know more!
