Famous British musician will stop by Paris this Fall with an exceptional show scheduled on Friday November 30, 2018 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.

After taking over Paris Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in April 2017, Nigel Kennedy has decided to return to this legendary Parisian entertainment venue to perform, this time, Bach and Gershwin without forgetting French creation on the theme of “Magician of Lublin”.

For this unique Parisian performance scheduled on Friday November 30, 2018, Nigel Kennedy will be accompanied by Orchestra of live and his loyal Band Members.

I dedicate myself to interpreting Bach since my teenage years. This music is focused on meditation and also enables to keep my hands in shape to play the violin. […] The Magician of Lublin is my latest composition. It’s based on the book of the same title by Isaac B Singer who so skillfully told life in the Shtetlekh in old Poland. […] Gershwin’s songs have so much pathos, charm, savor and creativity that it will be a pleasure to play them […]Nigel Kennedy said.

Bach Meets Kennedy Meets Gershwin program:

  • Nigel Kennedy, Violin
  • Rolf Bussalb and Doug Boyle, guitar
  • Peter Adams, cello
  • Piotr Kulakowski, bass

  • Bach Concerto for violin BWV 1041
  • Kennedy The Magician of Lublin (2018 – French Creation)
  • George & Ira Gershwin Songs (They can’t take that away, Rhapsody, Porgy Annat, The Man I love, Summertime, How long has this been going on, Lady be good…)
