If you missed her back in summer 2018 at the Olympia, well you don’t want to miss her return to Paris announced for this summer. Melody Gardot plans to take over the legendary entertainment venue set on Boulevard des Capucines in Paris for two new concerts scheduled on Thursday July 11 and Saturday 13, 2019.
And since good news never come alone, know that she’ll be accompanied on the occasion by a string ensemble. Here’s a piece of advice: Don’t miss the artist live in Paris and book your tickets starting this Monday January 28, 2019 at 10 a.m. (Paris time).
For the record, Melody Gardot already counts up 20 sold-out concerts at Paris Olympia and several critically acclaimed tours in France making her an unmissable artist.
Everything started back in Pennsylvania where she makes her stage debuts. At 16, she sings Duke Ellington, Radiohead and The Mamas and the Papas in Philadelphian bars.
But her fate changes drastically when she’s hit by a car while she was bicycling… During a medical visit, her therapist suggests her to try musicotherapy.
In her hospital bedroom, she writes her 6-track EP “Some Lessons – The Bedroom Sessions” which becomes her first album produced with Glenn Barratt, “Worrisome Heart”.
You know the rest of the story with the releases of “My One And Only Thrill” in 2009, “The Absence” three years later and finally “Currency of Man” in 2015. In 2018, she releases her first live album “Live in Europe” bringing together all of her biggest hits.
To (re)discover this incredible artist on stage, meet in July at Paris Olympia.
