This was THE good news of the year. Céline Dion has just officialized the European dates of her “Courage World Tour” and will stop by Paris in June and July 2020. Over 250,000 tickets were sold in a matter of hours. Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus epidemic, this series of shows is postponed to later.
The singer wrote this message to her fans this Friday April 24, 2020: "My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have lost loved ones and suffered so much during this devastating coronavirus pandemic. I know that everyone is struggling to adapt to these challenging circumstances, not knowhing when things will return to normal. Eventually, we'll get through this... hopefully, sooner rather than later. In the meantime, I have so much admiration for the healthcare professionals, first responders, and all the courageous people who are doing everything possible to care and provide for us during these most difficult times. I look forward to the the days when we can once again share the joys of singing and dancing together. For the time being, health and safety is the top priority for everyone... but I can't wait to get back on stage and be with all of you again".
As for new dates, according to Le Parisien, 3 periods are considered, depending on authorizations given by the government these upcoming weeks, as well as when borders will reopen. The diva's tour could take place in October or Spring 2021, in April or June for instance.
No matter what, stick to your tickets, they will be valid for the new dates once they are set. Eventually if you're not available on the new date, you can be repaid by the point of sale.
