Each year, the aim of the Europe Day is to promote citizens' initiatives for living together and European construction. Celebrated throughout the European Union on May 9, this date commemorates the Schuman Declaration, considered the founding act of European construction. Also, every year, many events are organized around this event.
For several years now, the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville in Paris has hosted Europe Day. For this 2023 edition, this Europe Day is not to be missed on Saturday, May 13, 2023, the very evening when the long-awaitedEurovision final is to take place.
On the program? A festive and cultural day combining music, debates, exhibitions and workshops, all accessible to all . On May 13, a real European village will be set up on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville in Paris with activities and festivities putting the European Union in the spotlight.
In addition to the village of associations, Parisians will also be able to discover free film screenings, such as"Nos soleils" and"Sans filtre", the"Visages d'Europe" exhibition, not to mention a breakdance performance, as well as foodtrucks, with an à la carte offer of European food.
Music will of course be on the agenda with three free concerts signed Europavox, to be experienced from 7pm to 11pm. This year, the public will be able to (re)discover the French artist Fakear, now known for bridging rock and electronic music. The Ukrainian artist Alina Pash will also be there, to enchant us with her R'n'B and hip-hop music. Finally, the Europe Day 2023 in Paris will be the occasion to be charmed by the sensual pop of the Spanish Ona Mafalda.
In short, this is an event not to be missed to celebrate Europe in Paris!
