Back in 2011, Pitchfork Music Festival Paris was held for the very first time in the French capital.
In just fifteen years, Pitchfork became a true institution. The webzine used to be a free platform for independent rock fans but in no time, it specialized in pop, rock, folk, electro, jazz and hip-hop music with the same special care for underground. It is now a true reference.
In 2006, the webzine organizes its first festival at Chicago’s Union Park. Five years later, the festival has good news: Pitchfork Music Festival is coming to France, in Paris at La Grande Halle de la Villette. In 2011, Bon Iver, Aphex Twin, Washed Out, Real Estate, Wild Beasts, Lykke Li and Jens Lekman inaugurated this first edition.
With the success of the past editions, Pitchfork Music Festival Paris has decided to renew the experience for the ninth time so that a new edition will be held from Thursday October 31 to Saturday November 2, 2019 at La Grande Halle de la Villette.
So, who will perform after Bon Iver, Mac DeMarco, Blood Orange, CHVRCHES, DJ Koze or even Dream Wife? Well, Skepta, Chromatics, Belle & Sebastian, Charli XCX, Mura Masa and even Hamza, Aurora and Primal Scream will be in..
Moving on to novelties, the festival will welcome two additional stages which is four stages, but also an entire night devoted to street music, and will give more pride of place to avant-garde scene, an indie disc market concocted by Les Balades Sonores without forgetting a nice food selection to find in front of the Grande Halle.
