Fête de l’Huma 2021 in La Courneuve: IAM, Tryo, Hervé, Suzane... Lineup and program

After being cancelled in 2020 because of the health crisis, the Fête de l'Huma is back. Held every year by French newspaper L’Humanité the Fête de l’Huma will not return to the Parc Départemental George-Valbon in La Courneuve on Friday September 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12, 2021. On the menu? A new weekend filled with debates, exhibitions and concerts, of course with Tryo, Boulevard des Airs and IAM, Alain Souchon, Suzane, Hervé, Yseult, Fatoumata Diawara, Dionysos, as well as Louis Chedid.

Each year, up to half a million festivalgoers are counted. This event has been happening since 1930 on the initiative of the French Communist Party media outlet. Yes, I am talking about the famous Fête de l’Humanité, also known as Fête de l’Huma!

After being forced to cancel the edition 2020 because of the health crisis, the Fête de l'Huma is back this September. Save the date! The event expects you all at the Aire des Vents, property of the Seine-Saint-Denis department on Friday September 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12, 2021. And let us tell you this edition 2021 is likely to mark a milestone in the story of the festival since it might be the last edition held in La Courneuve, on the current location of the Aire des Vents, property of the Seine-Saint-Denis department.

Set by the Aire des Vents du Parc Georges Valbon in La Courneuve since 1999, the Fête de l'Huma has announced it will find a "new place because of the constuction of the upcoming Medias village for the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024". According to Le Parisien, the Fête de l'Huma is to set from 2022 in Essonne.

In the meantime, the Fête de l'Humanité will take place on September 10, 11, and 12, 2021 in La Courneuve. As per usual, the festival is expected to deliver an ecclectic programmusic, meetings, exhibitions, debates as well as a book village, a social forum and a sport village.

In terms of music, although several artists already took part in the festival including Stevie Wonder, Cesaria Evora, Texas, Jimmy Cliff, Lindsey Stirling, Johnny Hallyday. Who will have the honor to take part to this new edition? Well, Tryo, Boulevard des Airs, IAM, Alain Souchon, Yseult, Suzane, HervéFatoumata Diawara, Dionysos as well as Louis Chedid are in! For the record, Shaka Ponk, Eddy de Pretto, Marc Lavoine, Soprano, Aya Nakamura, L'Or du Commun, Kassav', Les Négresses Vertes or even Paul Kakbrenner performed in 2019.
