The Saint Eustache 36-Hour Festival is on again this year, on Monday and Tuesday, June 20th and 21st, 2016. See 36 hours of free concerts in the unique setting at the Saint Eustache church!
At the Saint Eustache Church in Paris, Make Music Day celebrations are both fun and extra-long! Saint Eustache is putting on their 36-Hour Festival for Make Music once again this year, on Monday June 20th and Tuesday, June 21st. First created 11 years ago by the establishment, the 36-Hour Festival is an original project organized by the church community at Saint Eustache.
So what is a 36-hour Festival? Just what it sounds like! A 36-hour long event (so it continues all through the night) that mixes riffs, keys, beats and samples with choirs and organs, all under the majestic arches in the Cathédrale des Halles.
Each of the groups performing will revisit a liturgical work of their choice (gospel, requiem, ave maria, psalm, African-American spirituals) bringing sacred music to life from a completely different angle.
After past appearances by Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family, Joy, Minors, Kid Francescoli and Kyrie Kristmanson, it’s time for an exciting new lineup! This year, get ready to see Mermonte, Melissa Laveaux and Ricky Hollywood live!
