World Music Day is about to be wonderful and long at the Saint Eustache church. And for good reason, on Thursday June 20 and Friday 21, 2019, the famous Parisian monument will house the new and twelfth edition of the Festival 36h Saint Eustache.
Born 14 years ago upon Saint Eustache vicar’s original idea, the Festival des 36h is a project driven by Saint Eustache parish community.
The concept? For 36 hours, including a sleepless night, riffs, keys, beats and samples are played alongside lyrical choirs and organs under the majestic vault of the Cathédrale des Halles.
Each invited band revisits then a liturgic piece it has chosen (gospel, requiem, ave maria, psalms, negro spiritual…) highlighting sacred music from an unusual angle.
After welcoming in 2018 Yan Wagner, This is The Kit, Mathieu Boogaerts, Chapelier Fou and even Chaton et Tample who will have the honor to take part in the edition 2019 of the Festival 36h Saint Eustache? To find out, stay tuned!
