Fancy a concert as part of the Fête de la Musique 2024? Then head for the garden of theSwedish Institute on Friday June 21 !
June 21 sees the return of the Fête de la Musique, a popular, festive, convivial and, above all, free event. Every June 21, musicians, amateurs and professionals alike, bring out their instruments to offer music-lovers and the curious some fine musical moments. Whether in the street, in a bar, in a concert hall, in a museum, in a church or in a cultural center, the musicians and spectators enjoy the moment to the full.
The Fête de la musique also showcases the breadth and diversity of musical practices, and all musical genres: rock, electro, metal, classical music, French variety, reggae...
In 2024, the Fête de la musique returns to theSwedish Institute, this sublime venue located behind the doors of the Hôtel de Marle, in Paris's 3rd arrondissement. Throughout the year, the Swedish Institute showcases rich collections of Swedish artists and Franco-Swedish links. Music is also well represented.

For this Fête de la musique 2024, the Swedish Cultural Institute is inviting a new artist to perform live in its garden. For the moment, we don't yet know the name of this talent, but it shouldn't be long now, so stay tuned! Remember that last year, the Swedish Institute opened its doors to French singer Ehla and then to 7ebra, a Swedish duo formed by Inez and Ella, twin sisters aged 25 from Malmö.
But that's not all, since the music festival at the Swedish Institute is also an opportunity to celebrate Midsommar, the famous ancestral tradition that marks the beginning of summer. Every year, on Midsommar, the Swedes erect a floral flagpole around which they dance and sing, wearing a wreath of flowers. On June 21, 2024, the garden of the Swedish Institute in Paris will host traditional Midsommar dances and songs, before the famous concert.
