2016 Make Music at the Louvre Pyramid

For the 35th annual Make Music Day on Tuesday, June 21st, 2016, experience Mahler’s Symphony Nº 4 at the Louvre Pyramid.

To celebrate Make Music Day this year with a classical and original event, head to the Louvre Pyramid on Tuesday, June 21st.

Starting at 10pm, there will be a live performance of Mahler’s Symphony N°4, directed by Daniel Harding and featuring soprano Christina Landshamer.

In his fourth symphony, Mahler dreamed of heavenly life. Using a poem by Knaben Wunderhorn, his work fell in line once again with extravagant mainstream culture and somewhat nostalgic folklore: “The angelic voices gladden our senses, so that all awaken for joy.”
