World Music Day 2017 at the Musée d’Orsay

On Wednesday June 21, the Musée d’Orsay also celebrates World Music Day and invites the Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Garde Républicaine for a free concert you should not miss in the sculptures central aisle.

On Wednesday June 21, it is World Music Day! On this day, the Musée d’Orsay invites us all to an exceptional concert with the Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Garde Républicaine.

Conducted by the Colonel François Boulanger, the Orchestre d’Harmonie of 120 professional musicians  trained at the Conservatoire de Paris (Paris Conservatory) and at the Conservatoire de Lyon (Lyon Conservatory), performs according to various musical ensembles – concert band, string orchestra, symphony orchestra, string quartet – to honor official performances, dinners at the Elysée palace, commemorations, gala receptions as much as fitting in the musical seasons of great venues and festivals by playing a musical repertoire from the 17th century to nowadays.
