Make Music Day 2019 at the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix

On Friday June 21, 2019, for the 38th Make Music Day, the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix offers you to experience a unique and free music moment provided by Senegalese band Balakala.

This year, the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix opens again on Friday June 21, 2019 for the new edition of Make Music Day.

On the menu? A concert by Senegalese band Balakala to discover for free from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Musicians Abdou Kouyaté (voice and kora) and Mancondé Mouri Diabaté (balafon) are both from the same Senegalese griot-playing family creating this atypical band mixing traditional, jazz and reggae music.

For this concert, they will played with Malian dancer Lassine Trahoré who will offer a tradi-contemporary-African choreography dialoguing iwth their music (7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.).

This night will be in partnership with L'Atelier des artistes en exil, a unique structure in France which mission is to identify artists in exil of all background, disciplines and ot accompany them along with their situation and their administrative and artistic needs, to give them work space and put them in touch with professionals in order to give them the means to experience their practice and start afresh.
