She cares of the planet, its fragility and its beauty, Blanca Li gives the planet the first place in her show Solstice performed from September 21, 2017 at Théâtre National de Chaillot. According to the Spanish choreographer, it is just not necessary to care about the planet, it is an absolute priority. Whilst we are living dark times, politically speaking, with global powers stepping back from ecology, Blanca Li decided to address an issue link to mankind and the Earth in their purest and most natural form.
On the menu, no activist statement but an organic show conjuring the breath of air, the coolness of the rain, the dance of a falling leaf… The whole beauty of the Earth reflects in the movement like a self-evident fact to raise awareness and trigger sensitive interactions with our environment.
