ABC d’Airs, the music show at Paris Lucernaire

From May 9 to June 17, 2018, joyful theater set in Paris 6th arrondissement Lucernaire welcomes a music show entitled ABC D’airs. Featuring singer Anne Baquet, pianist Claude Collet, bass player Amandine Dehant and English horn and oboe player Anne Regnier, this quartet promises a poetic moment!

Director Gérard Rauber cheerfully explains. For ABC D’airs, the main idea is… the freedom of movement! Because after picking up an exceptional casting of musicians from atypical backgrounds, Anne Regnier has had the idea to strip the stage.

The committed position is to break the rules: no more sheet music, no more chair, so that the musician can be free at last! This is how we finally attend to the birth of a ‘staged’ concert where the look and the movement complete artists’ musicality”.

So, when you go to Lucernaire to attend to one of the 33 scheduled performances, make sure you keep your eyes and hears wide open. A poetry for the eye, a treat for the ears, the whole is uncommon and liberating, and we leave feeling younger.

Because, if the concept isn’t new (for example we think about Quatuor a humoristic musical ensemble performing between 1980 and 2015, that used to make us literally die of laughter with their jokes applied to violins), it’s renewed here with a very spring freshness.

And it stands out with its modernity, its modesty and its transdisciplinary and singular character.
In other words, if you love music and theater, save the dates!
