For the new 2020/2021 season, cirque Phénix has decided to produce a show with only women. But because of the health constraints, Cirque Phénix has decided to postpone “Gaia”, its new show only performed by female artists to the season 2021/2022.
Due to all health measures made to fight against the coronavirus epidemic - including the ban of public gatherings in Big Tops - Cirque Phénix has decided to postpone its Gaïa show to the next season, in 2021/2022.

After African circus, Cuban circus, the Etoiles du Cirque de Pékin and the Etoiles du Cirque de Mongolie, this year, Cirque Phénix gives pride of place to female circus artists.
As a matter of fact, Gaia, the new show performed under the Cirque Phénix’s big top on the Reuilly Pitch from November 21, 2020 to January 17, 2021, has the special feature of being only made of female artists.

Gaia” is a 100% female show with circus artists from all over the planet, Africa, Asia… On stage, Gaia is performed by 40 female artists, acrobats, clowns, jugglers, tightrope walkers, dancers, contortionists… the music of the show is performed live by a 10-female-musician orchestra.
To these talented female artists is added an animal parade made of giant puppets of course because the cirque Phénix has gave up on live animals a long time ago.

After the #MeToo movement and other female actions, women are given pride of place more than ever in 2020. And especially with the “Gaiacircus show – who is mother goddess in the Greek mythology – including only women to blow us all away.
