This late December 2022, Salle Pleyel shines a light on flamenco, providing for ten days a show by one of the world’s most talented flamenco dancers: Sara Baras.
“Alma” means soul in Spanish, and this is also the name of Sara Baras’s latest show. From December 21 to 31, 2022, it will be performed at Salle Pleyel in the 8th arrondissement.
Sara Baras is both a dancer, director and choreographer. On her own, she mixes the grace of a ballet dancer and the power of a flamenco dancer, and she has created her own company, the Flamenco Sara Baras Ballet. She managed to seize the codes of flamenco to give a modern interpretation and become one of the most striking dancers of her time.
With Alma, Sara Baras promises to enjoy a dream, an ode to Hispanic dances mixing flamenco and bolero. And for your information, Salle Pleyel is a show venue set in Paris 8th arrondissement housing dance shows, or hip-hop, jazz, humor shows, play, pop, rock and electro concerts…
