The greatest among the greatest of white ballets, Swan Lake remains an absolute reference and is widely performed in Paris. After being performed in February 2018 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Tchaikovsky’s enchanting score will return on the same stage from December 24, 2019 to January 5, 2020 for 16 exclusive performances!
A version of the oh-so classic ballet choreographed by Valeriy Kovtun “according to Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s original version”. But for neophytes, what is Swan Lake about? We follow the impossible love between a very human prince, Siegfried, and a swan-princess Odette who has been cursed by wizard Von Rothbart.
Danced by artists Nataliia Matsak, Anastasiia Shevchenko, Iuliia Moskalenko, Denys Nedak, Jan Vana and Stanislav Olshanskyi, this new production in four acts is “a true tribute to Tchaikovsky’s, Marius Petitpa’s and Lev Ivanov’s unparalleled talent”. The occasion to enjoy a magical moment for the Holidays and a wonderful way to end the year with Tchaikovsky’s famous music notes. Let’s save our night, friends, shall we?
