This year, Paris Opera makes you dream by showcasing “Cinderella”, the ballet choreographed by Rudolf Noureev and inspired by Perrault’s tale with a music by Prokofiev. The ballet will be performed from November 27, 2018 to January 2, 2019. All you need to enjoy the Holidays!

For the 350th birthday of Paris Opera, the famous Maison tries everything to please everyone, to amaze even more with the magic of its creations reminding us of the greatness and the magic of the ballets it created all along its story. And is there anything better than ending the year with one of the most popular ballets, created by one of the most legendary names?

Indeed, thanks to choreographer Rudolf Noureev, Cinderella, Charles Perrault’s famous tale and a music by Sergei Prokofiev is taken to a movie set where follow references to the heroes of the 7th American art, making pictures appear on stage speaking to collective knowledges. Especially renown for his risk takings that will create his year at the head of the Paris Opera, a golden age for the Parisian house, Noureev puts his Cinderella under the Hollywood spotlights making her meet King Kong or high-heeled pin-ups.

With a producer as her fairy godmother and a movie star as prince charming, she escapes from her miserable destiny and sees her dream come true. A story that keep reminding us of the choreographer’s, a young Tartar who became an international legend.
