After “Just Kids” and “M Train”, Patti Smith releases her latest book called “Devotion”. To celebrate the publication, Patti Smith will once again hold a signing session in Paris for free. This time, head to the Comme Un Roman bookstore in Paris 3rd arrondissement on Thursday December 6, 2018.

Remember, in 2010, Patti Smith published her wonderful book “Just Kids”, followed six years later by “M Train”.

Since November 1, 2018, the American rock singer and musician – as well as poetess and writer – is back with her latest book called “Devotion”.

And it’s a story about obsession that motivates Patti Smith, of a creating obsession, we find in different shapes throughout this very private book. Coming to Paris, the artist sees everything and takes everything in. Like a diary, she writes down her feeling that will come and create “Devotion”, the short story making the heart of the book and named after it, poetic and chilling tale revisiting Goethe’s Faustus but in a feminine way. Patti Smith offers us a moving sneak peak of her writing process as well as a thought about what pushes her to write again and again.

On the occasion of the release, Patti Smith will stop by Paris again. After a signing session at the L’Ecume des Pages bookstore in the 6th arrondissement this past October 31, the artist will take over the Comme Un Roman bookstore in Paris 3rd arrondissement.

For the greatest fans who’d like to have the “Devotion” copy signed meet on Thursday December 6, 2018 at 7 p.m.
