This is a (small) event that is being prepared in the paths of the Jardin des Plantes. As a matter of fact, the public garden is about to welcome a funny and free concert on Wednesday February 26, 2020 at 8 p.m.: Renaud Capuçon playing violin that has been 3D printed accompanied by an orchestra, and together, they’ll be locked in a bubble in which appear visual elements.
It may sound strange… We could think someone from the editorial board took some psychotropics. But “Virtual Harmony” – the name of this never-seen-before show – is very serious.
For 50 minutes, talented violinist Renaud Capuçon and the orchestra will perform a dozen partitions. And every time they play one note, a visual effect will pop on (they are called generative arts) on the structure of the bubble in which musicians are playing.
A true artistic, musical, visual and immersive experience since the audience can move all around the bubble to look from different viewpoints.
Moreover, Renaud Capuçon will play on the very first 3D-printed violin.
Are you free on February 26? How about meeting at the Jardin des Plantes? The exclusive and free musical experience is about to be grandiose.
