A climbing track... In a metro station? From May 21 to 24, 2024, RATP will be showcasing this new sport on the Olympic program, and offering metro passengers an unusual experience in a station.

Since its inclusion in the Olympic program, climbing has become increasingly popular: in specialized climbing gyms in Paris, outdoors... In fact, a number of French athletes have already qualified for the Olympic trials in this discipline, marking a new turning point for the sport. If you've already discovered the most unusual climbing gyms in and around Paris, chances are you've never climbed in a metro station before! From May 21 to 24, you'll have the chance to do just that from Glacière station, served by metro line 6.

The Glacière station becomes a climbing station, offering young and old alike the chance to try their hand at the discipline, under the watchful eye of guides from the French Mountain and Climbing Federation, as well as Fanny Gibert (French athlete in the running to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and six-time French bouldering champion). For the occasion, a 5-metre-high, four-lane wall will be set up in the station, open free of charge to all metro passengers all day long. Beginners, amateurs or professionals: come and try your hand at the discipline, from May 21 to 24, 2024!
