Have you heard of the Journées du Patrimoine? This European event gives us the opportunity, over the course of a weekend, to visit the country's most beautiful cultural and historical sites. But the museums, castles and churches near you can be visited all year round, you might say. And it's true. That's why, during this 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), we prefer to discover the great institutions of Paris!
In fact, during the weekend of September 16-17, 2023, the Elysée Palace, the Banque de France, ministries, the Senate, the National Assembly and many others will be opening their doors to us! It's an opportunity to visit these places usually closed to the public, and discover these institutions so important to our country.
Don't hesitate: come and unravel the mysteries of the places of power opened for this occasion, and learn more about the missions of the different institutions that sit in the capital. To find out what's on at these very special sites, follow the guide!
Please note: these sites are very popular with the public, so you'll need to register in advance to be able to visit them... Or get up early for a chance to enter these symbol-filled buildings!
Take advantage of this exceptional open house to visit the most emblematic sites of the French Republic! What's your first destination?
