Every year, the Nuit des Musées (Night of the Museums ) awaits those who love cultural visits, with a rich program of exceptional nocturnes, free good deals and unusual events at the heart of museums, monuments, châteaux and other fine institutions. This year, the date is Saturday, May 18, 2024, and as you can imagine, Paris and the whole of the Île-de-France region are on board! From the 16th to the 19th century, the Château de Vincennes was used as a prison, and its most famous inmates included the Marquis de Sade, Mirabeau and Fouquets. Today, the Château de Vincennes is still home to the historical department of La Défense. Visitors can explore the King's apartments, the Sainte-Chapelle and the upper sections of the Donjon.
