Small, large, pink, yellow, white: all Yves Saint Laurent's flowers are on display in the Yves Saint Laurent Museum's new exhibition, on view from September 20, 2024 to May 4, 2025.

Yves Saint Laurent filled his daily life with flowers, in his apartments, in his second homes, in his garden in Marrakech... And even in his creations. This love of flora, and its imprint on the designer's collections, is explored in the new exhibition at the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. From September 20, 2024 to May 4, 2025, visitors can discover Les Fleurs d'Yves Saint Laurent, an exhibition co-created by the Paris and Marrakech museums dedicated to the couturier, and curators Olivier Saillard and Gaël Mamine.

In a multi-disciplinary journey, we discover the importance of flowers and natural motifs in Yves Saint Laurent's art. The couturier shared this passion with his favorite writer, Marcel Proust. The exhibition features a dialogue between the designer's silhouettes and Proust's novels. The exhibition highlights the influence of A la recherche du temps perdu on Yves Saint Laurent's work.

Drawings, textiles, accessories, silhouettes: all these pieces testify to the importance of flowers in the couturier's universe, from his early days to his latest creations. The exhibition highlights iconic pieces such as the summer bride worn by Laetitia Casta in 1999, the first embroideries applied in 1962, the prints of the 2001 spring-summer collection...

To complete this itinerary, the Yves Saint Laurent museum has called on American Sam Falls, a contemporary artist who likes to combine photography, painting and sculpture. He too is inspired by flowers and the floral world to create colorful works full of life.

To delve even deeper into the world of Yves Saint Laurent and better understand his creative genius, don't miss this exhibition in September 2024.
