Pomme, the family life space for parents and children in the 19th arrondissement

In the Laumière district, a stone's throw from the Bassin de la Villette, it's a kind of cocoon, a bubble where parents can take refuge to unwind, a caring place where children are invited to develop at their own pace: Pomme is the oasis for families, and definitely a must for the whole district.

Since June 2020, Minerve has been welcoming you to Pomme, the family home she wanted to create in the neighborhood where she lives with her family. Designed as a "resource center", Pomme is like a second home for all those families, future or young parents, babies, toddlers or children who come here regularly, for a workshop, a sports class or simply to enjoy a hot drink.

The studio is the heart of Pomme, the room where weekday and vacation extra-curricular activities take place, as well as pilates, vinyasa yoga, pre- and post-natal yoga, meditation sessions... It's a place where parents-to-be, new parents or people without children can come together to refocus and take a break from the daily grind, early in the morning or at the end of the day.

On Saturdays, it's family time at Pomme, with creative and sensory workshops for kids aged 10 months to 6 years: your child is sure to love the mini-painting or mini-cram sessions, pawing through clay or paint, musical awakenings, baby gym, baby dance and other playful and participatory activities for a moment of sharing as a parent-child duo.

For babies and newborns (0 to 9 months), parenting workshops are offered, to discover how to sign with baby, try your hand at yogaor baby massage, learn the rudiments of physiological baby-carrying or, essential, infant first-aid.

At the very start of the adventure, Minerve (photo below) saw the arrival of new parents from the neighborhood: now, it's these couples' second or third baby that she welcomes at Pomme. "I see families growing up," she says, touched. This house is a bit like an extension of her own, a cocooning place where she's done all the interior decorating herself, and where she serves hot and cold drinks and exceptional chocolate chip cookies at very affordable prices. "The idea is that the place should always be lived in", so sports classes for adults are followed by parenting workshops with babies, family workshops at weekends or, during the week and school vacations, extra-curricular activities for older children.

You can also come "just" to relax over an oatmeal latte served with lots of foam, while the kids play or color in the self-service games in the lounge, or chat with other young parents after a workshop on the small terrace open all year round... Loungers, breastfeeding cushions and high chairs are available to settle the little ones in for a snack. When it comes to snacks, it's best to opt for the fruit juices, syrups, smoothies and compotes on offer à la carte.

As soon as you walk through the front door, we can promise you that the name "maison de famille" is not just a concept: between the cosy atmosphere of the lounge, Minerve's smiling welcome, the warm decor and the place designed with little ones in mind (especially with children's toilets and changing areas), you'll definitely feel at home . And yes, with or without children, whether you live in the neighborhood or not, Pomme is the cocoon resource we all need to recharge our batteries.
