Monument Jeu d'Enfant 2023: enjoy a weekend atop the Arc de Triomphe in Paris

An emblematic monument on the Place de l'Etoile in Paris, built under Napoleon I to celebrate the Emperor's victorious armies, a commemorative arch housing the tomb of the Unknown Soldier: there's a lot to say about theArc de Triomphe and its history.

During this first weekend of the All Saints' vacation, the Arc de Triomphe will be free for children, and will be offering a range of original activities for the whole family.

This enticing program is part of the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event, an annual get-together that enables youngsters to (re)discover France's most beautiful monuments. For the occasion, special activities are planned for the little ones, to help them enjoy history and heritage in a different way. The Arc de Triomphe invites families! Over the course of a weekend, come and (re)discover this emblematic monument of the Parisian landscape. Parents and children are in for an unforgettable experience on the heights of the capital. Do you know its history and scenery? You'll be amazed by this imposing monument during guided tours and creative and artistic workshops.

  Inspired by a long tradition, the Arc de Triomphe is a grandiose and legendary monument. Discover its history and let yourself be surprised by this storytelling tour!

  Initiate yourself and your family to the art of folding! Acanthus leaves and flowers, palms, laurel and olive wreaths... discover the floral decorations of the Arc de Triomphe during an origami workshop and create unique pieces.

  Crowning the Place de l'Étoile, the Arc de Triomphe rises from the Chaillot hill at the crossroads of the Haussmann boulevards. From its terrace, two hundred years of history are revealed before your very eyes! After a discovery tour of the monument, parents and children are invited to build a pop-up model of the Arc de Triomphe and Paris.
