Music is a source of many emotions: joy, sadness, happiness... Fear. This October 31, 2023, to celebrate Halloween, come and take part in the scare me concert!

We all know the kind of music that gives us the creeps. Music that strikes us with dread, creates instant anguish, and provokes immense fear in us. From the theme of Jaws to the music of The Shining and Camille Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre , fear has always inspired musicians and composers.

But who better to tell us all about it than the Musée de la Musique? And what better time to discuss fear thanHalloween ? So, on October 31, 2023, as Halloween monsters roam the streets of Paris, we're off to the Philharmonie de Paris!

The musical heart of the City of Light is offering children and parents alike an unusual musical walk, to be experienced this October 31, 2023. An experience entitled Fais-moi peur (Scare me), which should delight music lovers, fans of horror stories, and all visitors who love this Halloween season.

Here's the Philharmonie program:

  • One, two, three, six scares!
A musical tale to make your teeth chatter
Jack O 'Lantern, tale with music: the origin of the Halloween pumpkin
    Witch's Ball

  • Frissons workshops
Two workshops will be offered to concert-goers. They will be led by a lecturer from the Musée de la musique. Designed to give you the creeps, these workshops explore the terrifying power of music, through the strange sounds of the theremin, the screeching of violins and the frightening dissonances.
    On-site registration

This workshop will help you understand the secrets of the emotions generated by music and instruments. Who knows, maybe you'll discover a new passion during this workshop... So what are you waiting for?
