Did you know? The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) is the cultural event of the autumn season, taking place all over Europe on the weekend of September 17 and 18. Head off to the Hauts-de-Seine to discover this strange building, which has been standing in the middle ofIle Séguin in Boulogne-Billancourt since 2017 (and which celebrated its 5th anniversary last April). Imagined as a "musical destination", Seine Musicale boasts an imposing 6,000-seat "La Grande Seine" concert hall, a 1,150-seat auditorium and various rehearsal and recording spaces.
Designed by architects Jean de Gastines and Shigeru Ban, La Seine Musicale is an architectural challenge, since theauditorium sits on the Seine and "its wooden shell seems to float on the Parisian river".
