Pollen allergy sufferers, be vigilant! According to the National Aerobiological Monitoring Network, the Ile-de-France region is on maximum alert for this month of April 2023, due to the various pollens in full bloom.

Do you have an itchy nose and sneeze every time you step outside? If you suffer from a pollen allergy, it is unfortunately normal, given the circulation of these small airborne elements, and it is not over yet. In Île-de-France and Paris, the National Network of Aerobiological Surveillance indicates a red alert for the month of April. With the beautiful days that follow one another, "the cocktail of birch, oak, hornbeam and ash pollens gives an overall high risk of allergy".

This Easter weekend, be careful if you are looking for eggs in the garden with your family! Indeed, with the arrival of spring and sunshine, pollen is spreading in the air, especially birch pollen. The north-eastern quarter of the country is very affected, with a red alert, especially in Ile-de-France. Hornbeam pollens are also very abundant, and in the Hauts-de-Seine, ash is added. In Val-de-Marne and Paris, it is the oak that replaces the ash for allergies!

And unfortunately, it is far from over, because these blooms will continue throughout April and May. The birches will pass the relay to the grasses, with a reinforcement at the beginning of May.

Good luck therefore, to all people allergic to pollens. It is recommended to " rinse your hair in the evening, air at least 10 min per day before sunrise and after sunset, avoid drying clothes outside, keep car windows closed" but also to avoid"outdoor sports activities that lead to overexposure to pollens" .
