In the middle of the garbage collectors' strike, while tons of garbage litter the capital, an association organizes this Saturday, March 18, 2023 a demonstration to defend the rats.

A surprising but very real demonstration will take place this Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 1:30 pm, place Saint-Sulpice, in the 6th district. The association Paris Animaux Zoopolis wishes to raise awareness about the condition of rats in the capital, in the middle of a massive strike of garbage collectors. If the proliferation of these rodents in Paris has always been a political issue, the situation has become a little tense since tons of garbage litter the streets of the city, with health risks at stake.

On this occasion, the association, which deals with animal suffering in the region, is proposing a "small happening to defend rats and liminal animals, " according to Le Parisien. They wish that the look of people change about these small animals, and that we stop "massively poisoning rats". To avoid their too great expansion in the capital, the city sets up devices in the parks, which cause according to the association"endless bleeding". Will the famous surmulots be successful?
