It is on its social networks that the Inter-LGBT made this announcement. This summer, the famous Pride March in Paris and the Ile-de-France region will be without floats, in order to "continue a work of eco-responsibility and "decarbonization" of the event.

Some critics already appear on social networks. However, it is in an eco-responsible approach that the Inter-LGBT took this decision. On Monday, April 17, 2023, the Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans Interassociative (Inter-LGBT), organizer of the LGBTQIA+ Pride March in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, announced that the festive and militant event will take place this summer without rainbow-colored floats for ecological reasons.

" The Inter-LGBT continues this year the transformation of the Pride March by taking into consideration the social issues that concern us all. This approach aims to pursue a work of eco-responsibility and "decarbonization" of the event by reducing its carbon footprint as much as possible. We can no longer ignore this societal ecological issue that concerns us all " writes Inter-LGBT in its message which announces a march without floats this year in Paris.

" The motorized vehicles, in addition to mobilizing a too consequent number of volunteers, pose a considerable number of safety problems and do not allow to guarantee the fluidity of the procession and the safety of the public " adds Inter-LGBT which announces however to set up a fund to collect donations " which will allow to propose sound vehicles common to all and to offer a space of expression and visibility to the artists and DJ stemming from our communities ".

This kitty, which will be used to finance the rental of shared electric vehicles, is already open and accessible via this platform.

" For the 2023 edition, the Inter-LGBT plans of course trucks for people with disabilities, but also other vehicles for transporting people who will need it " says the Inter-LGBT.

If this decision was welcomed by many Internet users, others did not hide their disappointment on social networks, evoking a future " sad " gay pride in the streets of Paris.

Note that the Pride March is due to return to Paris and the Ile-de-France region in June 2023. For now, the exact date has not yet been announced, so stay tuned!
