SNCF strike this Wednesday: disruptions on two RER lines and one Transilien line

Due to a nationwide strike at the SNCF, traffic is expected to be disrupted on public transport in the Île-de-France region this Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Slight disruptions are expected on two RER lines and one Transilien line. We tell you all about it.

Be careful if you have to use public transport in the Paris region this Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Due to a nationwide strike at SNCF, traffic is expected to be disrupted on several RER and Transilien lines. However, these disruptions are expected to be limited and light. In detail, SNCF states that " train traffic will be slightly disrupted on Transilien lines C, D and N ".

As far as the RER is concerned, disruptions are forecast on all RER line C, with traffic slightly disrupted. Expect an average of 9 trains out of 10. This RER line crosses the Paris conurbation, with numerous junctions, including Porte Maillot, Avenue du Président Kennedy, Champ-de-Mars, Les Invalides, Musée d'Orsay, Saint-Michel and Gare d'Austerlitz.

Same forecast this Wednesday on RER line D, which links Orry-la-Ville and Creil in the north to Melun, Corbeil-Essonnes and Malesherbes in the south, passing through central Paris. Slight disruptions are forecast.

Finally, on Transilien line N, which links Paris-Montparnasse with Mantes-la-Jolie, Dreux and Rambouillet, traffic is also " slightly disrupted ".

Travelers on RER lines C and D, or Transilien line N, are invited to consult train timetables using the route search function, or by personalizing their timetable.
