The Art Deco movement, famous painters and sculptors, a vibrant cinema, uniquely styled furniture and architecture, a period rich in innovation... How much do you know about the 1930s? For a fascinating and immersive history lesson, come and visit the Musée des Années 30, in Boulogne-Billancourt.

This unique museum immerses us in the period between the wars, which had a major impact on the world of the arts. We admire works by Bernard Boutet de Monvel, Alfred Janniot, Ruhlmann, Leleu, Maurice Denis, George Desvallières, Charles Despiau, Siclis... From painting toarchitecture and cinema, the museum's permanent tour brings a whole decade to life.

Temporary exhibitions and events also enable us to learn more about certain artists or cultural trends. These visitor experiences invite us to take a fresh look at works and creators we thought we knew well, and who continue to influence today's art scene.

For the 20th edition of the Nuit des Musées, this Saturday May 18 , 2024, the Musée des Années 30 is offering night-time visits, the program of which you can discover below.

  • Independent creative workshop: sports on display!
    Saturday, May 18, 6:00 p.m.

    Inspired by posters from the interwar period, create your own little poster to celebrate sport! It's up to you to give free rein to your imagination and create an original design based on the sporting silhouettes in the museum's works.



  • 1924-2024, The Olympic and Paralympic Games in the museum!
    Saturday, May 18, 7:30 p.m.

    Pupils from 3 classes at the Ecole primaire du Numérique, pass the baton to present sport to you through an exhibition of photos, medals and a digital trail via a QR code downloadable onto your smartphone.



  • Family visit. Ages 5 and up
    Saturday, May 18, 8:00 pm

    The Olympic and Paralympic Games at the museum! Come and playfully discover the world of sport in our collections.



  • 1924-2024, the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the museum! Ages 15 and up,
    Saturday, May 18, 9:30 pm

    A number of themes are explored in connection with the works on display: English boxing, water sports, the place of women in the Olympic Games, the victorious athlete, but also failure, and the incomplete human figure, which will evoke the Paralympic Games.



  • Presentation of the collections by the curator.
    Saturday, May 18, 10:00 pm

    The chief curator and director of Boulogne-Billancourt's municipal museums invites you to discover a selection of emblematic masterpieces from the Musée des Années 30.
