Good news for all Fête de la musique fans! The legendary, popular and festive event is back on June 21, once again with a host of free concerts!
The Fête de la Musique was created in 1982 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture. That year, the Ministry of Culture's studies and research department conducted a major survey of French cultural practices. It revealed that five million people, including one young person in two, play a musical instrument. So Jack Lang, architect and scenographer Christian Dupavillon, a member of his Cabinet, and Maurice Fleuret came up with the idea of a major popular event to enable all musicians to express themselves and make themselves known. The very first Fête de la Musique was launched on June 21, 1982, the symbolic day of the summer solstice.
This year, the Fête de la Musique returns across France on Wednesday June 21, 2023, with a rich and eclectic program. In Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, the concerts are sure to be numerous, as in Noisy-le-Grand. This Seine-Saint-Denis commune is once again taking part in the Fête de la Musique.
So, after welcoming Patricia Kaas, Cali, Nolwenn Leroy, Bénabar and Ben L'Oncle Soul, ZAZ, Kassav', Salif Keita, Chico & The Gypsies, Julien Clerc and the Compagnie Créole, who has the honor of bringing the Fête de la musique to Noisy-le-Grand? Well, the Beatles' hits will be in the spotlight thanks to a free concert by the famous cover band The Rabeats. Don't miss it on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 10pm onwards, on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville, Place de la Libération.
The Rabeats take on the Beatles' most famous songs, on Wednesday June 21, from 10pm, on the square in front of the town hall, to mark the Fête de la musique.
As an opening act, the winner of the Springboard Stage will have the chance to perform on stage.
