If the Olympic Games are approaching, so are the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games! This is an opportunity to take a look at our French athletes and para-sports, which are just as exciting as in the able-bodied format! They are training assiduously to be part of the French delegation, but not all will be able to qualify for the competition, due to discipline quotas. While some have already made the cut, many are still waiting, and will have to pass through the qualifying tournaments between January and June 2024 if they hope to represent France at home, from August 28 to September 8.
Nearly 4,400 athletes from 182 nations, including 300 from France, are set to thrill the world in 22 disciplines, including some exclusive to the Paralympic Games! The list of athletes will be updated every month, so be sure to check back often to see how the number of qualified athletes is progressing. The Paralympics may be less popular, but they're a great way to see more accessible sport, so don't hesitate any longer!
While we wait for the full list, check out these interviews with the French athletes we hope to see succeed during the Games!
