Game Awards 2023: a roundup of key announcements

While the Game Awards were held on the night of Thursday December 7 to Friday December 8, unveiling the awards for this year 2023, the ceremony was also the scene of video game announcements, with a whole host of trailers. We take stock!

A veritable shower ofannouncements... That's what gamers were treated to at the Game Awards, held on the night of December 7-8, 2023. In addition to unveiling the awards for this 2023 edition, the ceremony also gave numerous development studios the opportunity to talk about their projects.

An eagerly-awaited prize list, crowning Baldur's Gate 3 as GOTY (Game of the Year), promising a new batch of sales just before Christmas for Larian Studios, which develops and publishes the game, respectively. For the full list of awards, click here:

As for the trailers unveiled, there were plenty of promising new releases from numerous third-party and in-house studios. Exodus, DLC for God of War Ragnarok, Hellblade II: Senua's Saga, Shinobi, Marvel's Blade, Monster Hunter: Wilds... There's something for everyone! With a few exceptions, these games will all be released in 2023, promising a great year for video games, in addition to the softs already planned but not shown at the ceremony.
