Fans of The Elder Scrolls Online are in a frenzy... And for good reason Bethesda Softworks, a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, has just launched the long-awaited new chapter in their acclaimed massively multiplayer role-playing game: Necrom. Available now on PC and Mac, Necrom features over 30 hours of additional content, including unexplored areas and an intriguing new class, the Arcanist. Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5 players will have to wait until June 20 to get their hands on this expansion. Necrom is a continuation of the story started by the Scribes of Fate game pack, but having completed that pack is not a prerequisite for enjoying this new content.
Necrom offers players the chance to lose themselves in the mystical Telvanni Peninsula, a region dominated by the mages of House Telvanni and the city of Necrom. This area, with its forests of giant mushrooms, unusual creatures and rocky steppes, offers multiple side quests, public dungeons and group bosses to battle. Necrom also allows players to enterHermaeus Mora's domain, Apocrypha, a region ofOblivion full of unfathomable secrets. However, players must be careful not to lose their souls in these infinite libraries.
The big news in Necrom is the introduction of theArcanist, a new playable class who wields the forbidden powers ofApocrypha. The Arcanist, the first new class added to ESO since Elsweyr Chapter 's Necromancer in 2019, is capable of inflicting damage, absorbing attacks and healing allies or himself. Necrom also features new group challenges, a global event and the chance to recruit two new companions, each with their own stories, combat skills and quests to unlock.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is available in four different editions, with options for new players as well as those who already own the base game. This chapter forms an important part of the Shadow saga on Morrowind, and is now available on PC/Mac via the ESO Shop, in stores or boutiques on each platform. To your keyboards!
