It's hard not to take notice of this colorful store at 74 rue du Cherche-Midi. Not clothes or food, but stones and crystals of all shapes and sizes. A little intimidated, we push open the door of the mystery store called Cristaux et Couleurs.
Inside, there are four different areas: a sales area in which the stones are showcased on glass furnishings that enhance their brilliance and color; a training room in the basement of the boutique where crystal and color workshops and events take place; a private lounge for in-depth discussions; and a pretty, more intimate little boudoir away from the boutique where you can create your own Crystal Theme.
It's precisely this "Crystal Theme" that piques our curiosity. Armed with our first names, surnames and dates of birth, store manager Sarha calculates and defines the 13 stones that make up our spiritual portrait, our mineral identity card - Base Stone, Life Path Stone, Expression Stone, Essence Stone, Initiation Stone... - as well as our socialization card.
The analysis is absolutely astonishing, as the person in front of us seems to know us by heart, and puts his finger on what we can't articulate: our desires, ambitions, behaviors, aspirations, anxieties, receptivity, inner conflicts and sensitivity. In short, a cocktail that can be more or less digestible depending on the birth chart.
After that, Sarha recommends a few stones intimately linked to our energies to accompany us in our daily lives - soothing some of our ailments, improving our balance and promoting our well-being. Indeed, minerals have recognized energetic and vibratory qualities, reaching an ever-wider audience. And even children love this marvellous bonbonnière and its miniature treasures!
To use the stones, all you need to do is have them at home: slip them under your pillow or beside your bed at night, hold them in your hands, place them on your body - in short, there's nothing too restrictive to dissuade you from giving them a try.
After all we've heard, it's hard not to treat ourselves to a miracle gri-gri to solve our little problems; so we leave with a pretty Topaz, our base stone, as well as a Selenite, enabling us to get in touch with the more subtle aspects of intuition. As for the rest, time will tell! But as with all magical remedies, it's important to believe...
