With books starting at 20 euro cents, and prices never exceeding a few pennies, Boulinier is one of the must-visit bookstores in Paris for lovers of literature. Launched in 1845 as an independent bookshop, Boulinier specializes in the sale of second-hand books. You'll find novels, children's books, comics, mangas, novels, textbooks and beautiful books. You'll also find books in their original language, old books and even rarities, but that's not all. Bouliniers' shelves are overflowing with DVDs, CDs and vinyls.
Its location, in the heart of the Latin Quarter (6th arrondissement), and its proximity to Paris's major universities make it a popular spot for students, but not only. At the same time, having the opportunity to leave with bags full of books for just a few euros is an attractive proposition! Note, however, that if books can be sold for less than a euro, it's usually because of their condition. At Boulinier, second-hand books are often in their third or fourth year, and the books have had a long life.
And with their distinctive presentation, Boulinier's stalls invite discovery. Here, people hunt for nuggets, and can spend hours rummaging through every nook and cranny of the store. A real treasure hunt awaits you in this gold mine where all types of books can be bought (or resold!). We've already mentioned the Quartier Latin address, but there are seven Boulinier bookshops in all: five in Paris and two in Seine-et-Marne. Visit the official Boulinier website to note their addresses.
