Organized by the Fédération Française d'Athlétisme and the Mairie de Paris, the Ekiden de Paris returns on Sunday, November 5, 2023. This relay race gives everyone the chance to run a marathon, even Sunday runners. In teams of 3 or 6, runners take it in turns to complete a distance of between 5 km and 10 km, eventually finishing the 42.195 km, the same distance as the Paris Marathon.
This original race comes to us from Japan, and in our version passes through the most beautiful monuments in Paris, thanks to its long and prestigious course. The Eiffel Tower, quays of the Seine, Trocadéro, Invalides - there's plenty to admire during the relay, without forgetting to run! For those who prefer a shorter distance, or who don't have six athletes in their midst, the Half Ekiden offers the chance to form teams of 3, for a 20km race.
So, which distance will you choose? 5 km, 10 km, or 7.195 km? In which position will you take the baton? It costs 162 euros per team to take part in the whole marathon, or 27 euros per person. Make your choice and register now for the Paris 2023 Ekiden.
