Amalie Bruun, the Danish singer and musician behind the Myrkur solo project, is back on the road in Europe with a new tour that includes a stopover in France. On the program? A one-off, not-to-be-missed concert on Friday April 12, 2024 at theAlhambra, nestled in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. For the remainder of its tour of the Old Continent, Myrkur plans to play several shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Manchester, London, Milan, Vienna, Budapest, Krakow and Dresden next spring.
This will be an opportunity for Myrkur to unveil new tracks from the"Spine" opus, as well as to revisit some of his previous titles, notably from"M" (2015),"Mareridt" (2017) and"Folkesange" (2020). While Myrkur had made a lasting impression on many metalheads with his first two black metal-oriented albums, the Scandinavian artist turned his attention to folk music with his third opus. With"Spine", Myrkur once again surprises his fans by integrating a few notes of metal skilfully blended with dreamy pop. And, as always, the darker side takes over, resulting in an atypical, spellbinding album.
A record that fans of the artist will be able to discover in part live next spring. In Paris, head to theAlhambra to catch Myrkur on his latest and oldest tracks. Tickets open on December 15 at 10am. Jonathan Hultén will be opening the show.
