The 32nd Concours des Grands Amateurs de Piano will be held from March 27 to March 31, 2024, and will bring together 100 candidates from 5 continents. The 5 finalists will perform on March 31 at the Grand Amphi d'Assas.

Created in 1989 by Gérard Bekerman, economist and Chairman of Afer, the Concours International des Grands Amateurs de Piano is aimed at top-level amateurs. All are active: doctors, lawyers, students, retirees, employees, engineers...

The originality of the Competition lies in the fact that we are not dealing with amateurs in the usual sense of the term, with "dilettantes", but with pianists "who don't just do that", with musicians who, one day in their lives, have had to make a choice, often a difficult one, between their profession and a concert career they did not embark on, a choice between what allows them to live and their love of music.

Each year, the jury is made up of renowned pianists or personalities: Hélène Mercier, Tania Heidsieck, Reiko Nakaoki, Marc Laforet, Eric Heidsieck, Christian Debrus, Pierre Cheremetiev, Tristan Pfaff, Muza Rubackyte, Elena Kroon, Ewa Osinska, François-René Duchable, Yves Henry, Hubert Guillard, Pierre Cheremetiev, Marc André, etc...

A second jury, made up of ten music critics from the major media, will award the "Prix de la Presse Internationale".
Each listener will have a ballot to participate in the Prix du Public on the day of the final.

Highlights:
The semi-final - Friday, March 29 at 6pm at the Mairie du 16e.
The Final - Sunday, March 31 2024 at 3:30pm at the Grand Amphi d'Assas
