In the Marais district of Paris, the Musée en Herbe offers the youngest visitors a chance to discover art, through fun, interactive exhibitions for young and old alike, aged 3 to 103.

The Musée en Herbe used to be located in the Jardin d'Acclimatation, in the 16th arrondissement, but in 2016, the new Musée en Herbe moved to the heart of the Marais, at 23 rue de l'Arbre-Sec, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Since then, dozens ofexhibitions, workshops and guided family tours have taken place there, introducing the youngest visitors to contemporary art through playful, colorful exhibitions that are great fun to discover.

Unlike many Parisian museums, the Musée en Herbe has no permanent collections: only temporary exhibitions are presented, each with a particularly immersive scenography.

Throughout the year, and depending on the exhibitions of the moment, the Musée en Herbe offers numerous activities for children, with a treasure hunt for children, mediators in each room to welcome and guide you, guided tours for families or adults, and numerous workshops for children. For toddlers aged 2 to 5, there are Baby-Z'Ateliers, for parent-child pairs, and Maxi-Z'Ateliers for older children up to age 12!

The Musée en Herbe is open every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and costs €7.5 full price (for anyone over 3), €3 for students and €6.5 reduced price (seniors, large families, jobseekers, etc.), bearing in mind that children under 3 don't pay!

The entrance is on rue de l'Arbre-Sec, and the site is served by numerous lines: line 1 (Louvre-Rivoli or Châtelet stop), line 7 (Pont-Neuf or Châtelet stop), line 4 (Les Halles stop) and lines 11 and 14 (Châtelet stop for both). Please note, however, that only line 14 is wheelchair-accessible. The Musée en Herbe can also be reached by RER lines A, B and D, getting off at Châtelet station.
