Do you know the 19M? It's the Manufacture de Mode Chanel, home to no fewer than 700 artisans and collaborators, as well as an art gallery and café. Nestled, as its name suggests, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris since January 2022, the address brings together eleven Maisons d'art, including Lesage, Paloma and Ateliers Lognon. Initiated by the House of Chanel, the 19M aims to perpetuate fashion craftsmanship and highlight it through a program of events of all kinds.
Architect Rudy Ricciotti designed the plans and facades of the 19M in a resolutely urban context. Concrete and vegetation intertwine to create an ecological and artisanal setting, a haven of creativity in the heart of the city.
In keeping with the free exhibitions on offer, the spot features a number of creative workshops, allowing you to slip into the shoes of an artisan and try your hand at these exceptional skills. Take turns making a piece of bag jewelry, a fan, embroidery or even an upcycled piece. Theembroidery workshop is free of charge.
Above all, 19M is a place for sharing and transmission. Through exhibitions, performances and conferences, it celebrates each fashion profession, revealing the behind-the-scenes of artistic creation. Here, inspiration is palpable, encounters abound, and every visit is an invitation to get off the beaten track and discover new passions.
At 19M, the creative energy is contagious and the possibilities infinite.
