De(s)rives 2024: an exhibition of contemporary art by craftsmen from the Aligre district of Paris

A journey of contemporary art to be discovered in the homes of artisans in a historic Paris neighborhood. That's what awaits you from Thursday, May 23 to Saturday, June 8, 2024 for the new edition of "De(s)rives", an art event offered by the Aline Vidal gallery since 2018.

Attentioncontemporary art lovers! Don't miss the new and 7th edition of De(s)rives. Conceived since 2018 by the Aline Vidal gallery team, this exhibition is an opportunity to weave a link between unprecedented activities, outside the art circuit, and artists around a theme inspired by the premises.

Having already taken over the Île Saint-Louis, the Halle Beauvau, the tug Archimède based at the Port de la Bastille and the Huyghens gymnasium, a listed building in the capital, Galerie Aline Vidal is now inviting the public to visit artisans in Paris's Quartier d'Aligre from Thursday May 23 to Saturday June 8, 2024. This historic Parisian neighborhood, nestled in the 12th arrondissement, is the new playground for a number of hand-picked artists at the 7th edition of De(s)rives.

On the program? This year's De(s)rives exhibition brings together contemporary artists and craftspeople (framers, upholsterers, cabinetmakers, button merchants, florists, distillers, archivists, etc.) on an original artistic journey.

On the artists' side, Galerie Aline Vidal is giving carte blanche to Horst Ademeit, Jean-Michel Alberola, Sophie Boursat, Nicolas Darrot, Shane Drinkwater, Gabriel Leger, Maldo Nollimerg and Annette Messager.

Last year's event was free, but registration was required. Stay tuned for more information on access and opening times.
