Chaumet transports you to the years 1965 to 1985, in the heart of its historic salons on Place Vendôme, for a free jewelry exhibition from October 5 to December 5, 2023. Entitled "Un Âge d'Or: 1965-1985", the installation reveals the creative history of the Maison de Joaillerie, with over 140 exceptional objects, including archival creations and drawings set against contemporary fashion and design pieces. From October 5 to December 5, 2023, Chaumet offers you a one-way ticket to the years 1965 and 1985, with a free jewelry exhibition to be discovered in the historic salons of Place Vendôme. The iconic jewelry house invites you to step back into its creative past, transporting you to a time when daring and innovation were the watchwords.

It all began in 1970, when Chaumet opened L'Arcade, a unique "concept store" dedicated to a selection of avant-garde jewelry and works of art, on Place Vendôme. A date that marked the beginning of a period of unbridled innovation, which Chaumet brilliantly exhumes in this ultra-desirable fashion and luxury exhibition in Paris. In all, the installation is packed with 140 objects that take you back in time and on a journey from 1965 to 1985: jewelry, archival drawings, photographs and videos interact with contemporary pieces such as Pierre Paulin armchairs (Palais de l'Élysée), silhouettes by Paco Rabanne and Dior, Vasarely tapestries andAndy Warhol lithographs.

The 1970s offered Chaumet an unparalleled canvas of freedom. Under the leadership of artistic directors René Morin and Pierre Sterlé, between necklaces, brooches, splendid ornaments, tie clips, cufflinks and Baccarat-punched animal heads, the House pushed back the boundaries of jewelry experimentation.

The historic Place Vendôme showcase invites you to stroll through an immersive scenography, signed Arter ("Végétal - L'École de la Beauté"), to the rhythm of a seventies soundtrack, and discover never-before-seen treasures drawn from Chaumet's rich heritage.
