From Wednesday, March 20 to Thursday, May 9, 2024, the Galerie Gallimard becomes the setting for a free exhibition featuring the original plates of your favorite heroine: Martine. A tribute orchestrated by Casterman, the proud guardians of this literary treasure, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.

Martine, the cheerful, inquisitive little girl born in 1954 from the imagination of Marcel Marier and Gilbert Delahaye, is much more than just a children's book icon. She embodies the very essence of childhood and innocence in an ever-changing world, offering little readers an example of positivity. Like a faithful friend, she has accompanied many children through the social and cultural changes of our era, depicted in 60 collector's albums.

Martine's first escapades took place in a world bathed in the optimism of the Trente Glorieuses, an era full of incredible innovations in leisure, transport, domestic life and consumer trends.
